Financial storytelling: What it takes to go beyond record keeping

About this webinar.

The world’s best finance leaders don’t just compile the numbers — they tell the story behind them. It’s easy to say that every finance function should strive to tell the story behind their data, but not so easy in practice. What does it actually take to go from scrambling month after month to compile data just to report on the numbers to proactively creating narratives with the data? This webinar will answer that question. We will discuss things like:

  • What “financial storytelling” means in a practical sense.
  • The importance of transparency and real-time access to financial data.
  • How the best finance leaders actually go about aligning with their business partners on the numbers.
  • Examples of situations where storytelling better serves the business as opposed to just reporting numbers in a spreadsheet.
