Lynn Elwood

VP of Product Marketing

Lynn is Vice President, Product Marketing at Airbase. Prior to Airbase, she held positions as Vice President at OpenText, a world leader in information management, and led development teams at technology companies. Lynn has an Honours BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Michael Freeman

VP of Marketing

Michael joined Airbase in February 2023 with over 20 years of marketing, strategy, and operations experience across a broad set of industries, from startups to the Fortune 100. Most recently, Michael was the VP of Marketing at Skilljar, a leading customer education SaaS provider. Prior to that, he held a number of roles of increasing responsibility and leadership at companies such as Certent (acquired by Insightsoftware), Adaptive Insights (acquired by Workday), Disney, Maersk and more. Michael has a BA in Communications Studies from UCLA and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

J.R. Robertson

VP of Sales

A seasoned sales professional with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, J.R. Robertson leads Airbase’s sales and solution consulting team. J.R. has extensive experience and expertise in the procurement and payment practices and needs of mid-market to enterprise-level companies. Prior to joining Airbase, he held senior sales leadership roles at Coupa, SAP Ariba, and Oracle. J.R. earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from California State University, Chico.

Philip Lacor

CRO

Philip Lacor is the Chief Revenue Officer at Airbase. He leads all customer-facing functions across marketing, sales, and customer success. Philip brings extensive leadership to Airbase, having served as CRO at Envoy, VP Global Sales and Customer Success at Dropbox, and Managing Director of Enterprise Business Unit at Vodafone. Philip holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.

Thejo Kote

CEO

Thejo Kote founded Airbase in 2017 and has served as our CEO since that time. Before Airbase, Thejo was Co-founder and CEO at Automatic, a connected car platform that was acquired by SiriusXM in 2017. He holds a master’s degree from the School of Information at the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India.

Sarah Lovelace

VP of People

Sarah serves as VP of People at Airbase. She joined Airbase in 2021 bringing a wealth of experience in fast-growing companies, including at Box and Plenty where she was the VP of People. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley.

Aneal Vallurupalli

CFO

Aneal joined Airbase as our Chief Financial Officer in 2021. He began his career in investment banking with a focus on M&A in the tech sector at Union Square Advisors and E&Y. He has held leadership positions in strategic finance and operations at Mattermost, Mapbox, and Guidewire. Aneal is a graduate of Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business where he also played Division I tennis.

Emma Dunstone

VP of Marketing

Emma joined Airbase in 2020 as our VP of Marketing. Previously, she held marketing leadership roles at AppDynamics, Mixpanel, Showpad, and Webroot, among others. She is an elected ‘Fellow’ of the Chartered Institute of Marketing — the largest professional marketing association in the world. Emma is a graduate of Bournemouth University, England, with a degree in Business Studies.

Jaakko Iso-Järvenpää

VP of Sales & Customer Success

Jaakko is VP of Sales & Customer Success at Airbase. In his previous role at Dropbox, Jaakko led sales and customer success teams across both Europe and the US. He also helped scale up B2B teams at American Express and Google. Jaakko earned his BMc and MSc in international business from the Turku School of Economics in Finland.

Dan DeVall

VP of Business Development

Dan is VP of Business Development and leads the Partnership Program at Airbase. He previously held leadership roles at Coupa and Tipalti. Prior to his move into fintech, he spent over a decade in banking at Wells Fargo, where he was a Senior Vice President and key leader, establishing their tech banking group focusing on software and fintech companies. Dan is a graduate of USC’s Marshall School of Business.

Archit Shah

General Counsel

Archit joined Airbase as our General Counsel in 2021. His previous role was General Counsel at Robinhood, where he led the legal team, supporting several highly regulated businesses and advising on a variety of novel legal issues. Archit was previously a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He did his undergraduate degree at MIT in Computer Science and Engineering and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School.

Krishna Panicker

VP of Product

Krishna is VP of Product at Airbase, and is a seasoned product manager whose professional career spans over 20 years. He has delivered impactful products in both B2C and B2B in a variety of industries. He has a passion for building teams that drive growth and deliver consumer-grade experiences, as well as a deep curiosity for what drives demand. Krishna formerly held roles at Skype, Microsoft, Blink, and Pipedrive, and is a prominent speaker at conferences.
